Ms. Angeliki Katsapi is a business manager and an internationally active certified auditor, assessor and tutor for quality, patients’ safety, and management systems in healthcare and medical tourism services. She has been working as an International Assessor of the German Healthcare Accreditation Body, Temos International, and she is the business partner of Temos in Greece and Cyprus since 2010.

In 2019 she founded the Euro Mediterranean Institute for Quality and Safety in Healthcare Services, which is a non-for-profit institute, for the delivery of know-how and expertise of standardization and patients’ safety in the region of Greece- Cyprus.

Ms. Katsapi has been working over the last 12 years in numerous projects for Patients’ Safety and Quality Assurance in International Patients Management, as a leading assessor, trainer and/ or consultant in various countries as Turkey, Brazil, Philippines, China, Iran, UAE, Hungary, Ukraine, Croatia, Germany, Cyprus, Albania, and Greece.

Angeliki holds an MSc in Health Informatics and Healthcare Management, she is a certified lead auditor and lead tutor for international standards, trained by ACFE as a Fraud Examiner, and as a Value- Based Healthcare Expert by the Decision Institute.

She was appointed as Accreditations’ Manager of Swiss Approval International, for 4 years, with significant achievements in the development and activities’ expansion of the Certification Body, worldwide. At the same time, she was the Managing Director of Swiss Approval T.B., the Greek branch of Swiss Approval Group until April 2019.

In the past, she has been holding executive positions in the Greek Healthcare sector such as:

  • the position of Business Planning and Development Director of Health Units S.A. (a GreekState-Owned Enterprise) and Total Quality Director of the Olympic Village Polyclinic in the period 2005-2012
  • several senior management positions as a Member of various ‘E- health’ projects’ Workgroups and Review Committees on behalf of the Greek Healthcare Ministry and Information Society S.A.
  • employed by the Greek Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity during the period 2002-2005 undertaking project management duties for 3rd European Support Framework projects.
