Genesis Genoma Lab (GGL) is a fully certified, state-of-the-art molecular genetics laboratory. It supports numerous medical specialties, such as: Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Oncology, Andrology, Endocrinology, Cardiology and Dermatology. Using major advances in Next Generation Sequencing, Whole Exome Sequencing and Molecular Karyotype techniques, it provides reliable and up to date genetic testing and diagnosis coupled with genetic counseling services. GGL’s scientific leadership comprises renowned academic leaders in the fields of Medical Genetics and Biology, who drive a highly knowledgeable team of Medical Doctors, Biologists and Lab Technicians in quality and excellence in daily practice and in innovation in molecular techniques, attested by numerous publications, conference participations and training seminars.

Furthermore, Genesis Genoma Lab and its scientists always strive to participate in research and educational activities in collaboration with other institutions in Greece and abroad. In this context we participate in 2 e-learning programs for Medical Genetics and Assisted Reproduction in collaboration with the University of Ioannina and Athens, respectively, undertaking part of the student’s practical training in laboratory techniques and genetic counseling.

Genesis Genoma Lab is aiming to support Elitour and the recently formed Greek Medical Tourism Cluster, by providing solid support through genetics services to all Healthcare providers of the Association, and in particular with regard to IVF, critical illness and emergency care services. Its experience in Covid-19 testing is also expected to benefit the cause of both Tourism and Medical Tourism Clusters.
