Lyrakou Psychiatric Clinic

Mental health hospital “Lyrakou Clinic SA” has been active in the mental health sector since 1973. It is located at the Penteli municipality, north of the Athens metropolitan area. Two and a half thousand square meters of building facilities can accommodate up to 120 patients. Additional 1,500 square meters of gardens and courtyards are used for sports and occupational therapy activities. The psychiatric hospital provides personalized care for:

1. Patients who are treated for acute psychiatric episodes (psychosis, depression, eating disorders, etc.)
2. Patients in need of detoxification due to addiction in psychotropic substances (i.e., alcohol, drugs) or other addictive behaviors (i.e., gambling)
3. Old age people suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
4. Long term mental patients not able to be accommodated to their homes or other hospitals.

Our mental health hospital is fully compartmentalized and is operating on a regular basis outpatient clinic in order to support patients after hospitalization or motivate patients for hospitalization.
