The 3rd World Conference of Thermal Medicine was completed with great success drawing critical, but also useful conclusions. The conference was held on October 9, 10, 11 at the “Galini” hotel in Kamena Vourla, in accordance with the prescribed protection measures and protocols, with physical presence and live streaming.
Selected experts, internationally renowned, participated in the conference proceedings, and provided full information on the latest scientific data and developments in Thermal Medicine, with lectures, workshops and round table discussions. The 3rd World Congress of Thermal Medicine was held with international participation and in collaboration with the European University of Cyprus and the Region of Attica.
Professor K. Kouskoukis, President of the Hippocratic Academy of Thermal Medicine, analyzed the goals of the Academy and the current situation internationally, acting tirelessly for the promotion and establishment of Medicinal Medicine and the revival of the spirit of Hippocrates, highlighting Greece as a healing and a modern educational center of Thermal Medicine, but also of medicine in general.
At the 3rd World Congress, current situation in Greece was formulated with the expectations of our country emerging as a global Healthresort-Medispa for chronically ill people in 3rd and 4rth age, but always under the medical coverage of experienced and internationally acclaimed Greek Doctors to stop brain drain and to develop brain gain, as interest in the search for upgraded medical treatment, rehabilitation, anti-aging and wellness services in Greece will increase internationally.
Patoulis, Governor of Attica Region, President of the Medical Association of Athens, the Global Doctors’ Hippocratic Institute and ELITOUR, in his speech at the opening of the conference, emphasized the importance of reviving the spirit of Hippocrates who established thermalism and thermal treatments and proposed Greece as a Spa destination on the world map, emphasizing that Attica is the pillar of the political philosophy, for the development of health tourism, with the aim of Attica becoming a metropolis of longevity and euphoria.
The upgrading and enrichment of tourist services in connection with the utilization of thermal tourism, and other categories of thematic tourism in Greece, creates the conditions for attracting new visitors from all foreign countries, beyond those who would come to enjoy their holidays under the Greek sun, on the blue beach of an island.
