Filoktitis: Blocks Group has acquired 100% of the shares of Aktios, the leading operator of elderly and dementia care homesin Greece

Blocks Group has acquired 100% of the shares of Aktios Elderly Care in Greece. Aktios is the leading elderly care operator in Greece.
 
Established in 2007, the companyis synonymous with high-quality care. Under the leadership of Dr. Costis Prouskas, it has been a pioneer in the Greek market in elderly care forthe last 14 years. Aktios operates four licensed elderly care units with 288 beds in three locations in central Athens. It employs more than 130 caregivers.

Following the acquisition of Filoktitis Rehabilitation Center in Athens in the summer of 2020, the acquisition of Aktios will lead to the creation of the dominant long-term care operator in Greece. The combined Greek operations will be close to 500 beds and will cover the entire continuum of post-acute and long-term care. Dr. Costis Prouskas will continue to be the Chairman and CEO of Aktios, but will also assume the supervision of all Blocks senior living facilities in southeast Europe as a Group Chief Clinical OfficerSenior Living.
