Society of Aesthetic Medicine and Non-Ablative Surgery – S.A.M.N.A.S

The Society of Aesthetic Medicine and Non-Ablative Surgery is a non-profit organisation, established in 2013 in Athens. Its members are medical doctors from all medical specialisations, sub-specialised in aesthetic medicine.

Aesthetic Medicine is a sub-specialisation that can be performed by doctors that have adequately underwent special master course training. Aesthetic Medicine can be performed to optimise the psychosomatic wellness of a human being. This field of medicine has evolved in the last decades, and more and more people turn to aesthetic and minimally invasive procedures instead of traditional surgeries. Aesthetic Medicine acts on the 3 main systems of the human body; neuropsychiatric, endocrinological, and immune systems, that need to be always in a balance.

SAMNAS mission is:

• to aid the scientific, technological and cultural evolution of aesthetic medicine and its field,
• to help the acquaintance of doctors and collaboration on various activities and exchange of scientific knowledge and ideas on specific cases.
• to maintain and protect the prestige and interests of its members through continuous activities and updates about aesthetic medicine and non-ablative surgery.
• to contribute to the continuous academic education of its members through webinars/seminars/hands-on/conferences, in association with the Ministry of Health, European Medical Associations and prestigious European Universities.
• to aid in the medical tourism promotion of the country. Since aesthetic medicine is a very upcoming field in demand, and along with Greece’s vast historical and environmental background a very promising and profitable source of income for the country can be developed. In this way, Greece can be placed in the top countries of Medical Tourism, promoting our medical services along with our cultural diversity.
