Seneca Hair Restoration Summit 2024: Human-Centered Innovation

Seneca’s scientific conference entitled “Seneca Hair Restoration Summit Pioneering the Future in Medical Tourism”, which took place on June 14 and 15, created a communication platform with two main pillars.

The first concerned the diffusion of innovation and medical achievements of the outstanding surgeons active in the group’s clinics. And the second, the rapid rise of medical tourism and the possibilities it entails for our country.

The speeches and workshops of the first day of the conference were held at the “home” of Seneca Medical Group in Athens. At the group’s state-of-the-art clinic in the Athens Tower, on Friday June 14, the group’s work was holistically presented and the good practices that have contributed to its success were disseminated. A success that is confirmed not only by the many awards and the rapid growth of the group, but also by the fact that SENECA is the only purely Greek company in the field of hair transplantation which has a presence abroad with its own and partner clinics.

Pioneering interventions in live broadcast, speeches by leading scientists and specialized professionals from Greece and Scotland composed a very exciting scene. Doctors from all over the world have benefited from the long-term experience as well as the innovative methods of Seneca’s potential, receiving the information directly from the source and in the most direct way. The three demanding incidents that took place on Friday deserve special mention. Conference participants had the opportunity to witness live hair transplantation in a transgender case, hair transplantation in an afrotype case and finally beard transplantation.

“All three of these cases require great experience and expertise, characteristics that distinguish all Seneca doctors” noted  George Gounnaris, Scientific Head of Clinics of the SENECA Medical Group,  who particularly emphasized the importance of correct diagnosis, medical training and of the support Seneca patients receive throughout their healing journey. “We ensure the very good results that testify that we are pioneers by constantly incorporating innovative techniques and taking into account the latest scientific developments in the field of hair transplantation. The most important factor of all is the fact that, in all our clinics, transplants are carried out exclusively by specialized doctors and are supported by nurses trained and certified by us. The colleagues who work in our clinics are those recommended by the Medical Association: either dermatologists or plastic surgeons specialized in dealing with scalp problems.”

“We keep the quality in all our clinics the same, thanks to protocols that are followed reverently, and procedures that are strictly applied. In this way, we achieve excellent results in every operation, while at the same time we are able to provide completely personalized treatments without ever compromising on quality” underlined Mr.  Giorgos Kottaridis, CEO of Seneca Medical Group . Challenge and conquest of enormous proportions, since Seneca has already expanded with new partnerships in France and Israel, while the medical facilities operating in Athens, Thessaloniki, Kalamata, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Bucharest and Dublin are very sophisticated and modern.

The medical services as well as the scientific staff of our country with their high level, are competitive advantages for the development of health and wellness tourism – and  Seneca Medical Group is well aware of this. In recent years, the Group has focused on the field of medical tourism, achieving impressive results (40% of the patients who choose Seneca come from abroad, while the target for the coming years is to increase the percentage to 60%). Greece as a rising force in medical tourism, the challenges but also the resulting opportunities for further development of the Greek economy therefore reasonably occupied the delegates of the scientific conference of the Seneca Medical Group, as its example is typical of the rising trend of travel with the aim of well-being , but also indicative of the good timing for the creation of similar initiatives in the Greek ecosystem.

Mrs.  Sophia Zacharakis, Minister of Social Cohesion and FamilyMr. George PatoulisPresident of the Greek Health Tourism Council (ELITOUR) and the Athens Medical Association,  Mr. George Markopoulos, President of the Regional Union of Municipalities of Attica  and  Mrs.  Androniki Kalfa, Marketing Manager of Marketing Greece.

The second day of the conference found the participants at the Wyndham Grand Athens hotel, where on Saturday, June 15, the marketing options that have ensured Seneca Medical Group the ability to transform lives and restore the confidence of more and more people were presented and discussed. Creative campaigns that resonated with the public, communication channels and forums that promote dialogue and the dissemination of information gave the audience the opportunity to understand the multi-layered communication network in which Seneca Medical Group operates, but also to appreciate the importance of creativity and the strong partnerships to ensure its continuous upward trajectory.
