The third online seminar on Medical Tourism, organized by the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal, was successfully held with the participation of Dr. George Patoulis, President of the Athens Medical Association (ISA) and ELITOUR. The seminar garnered significant interest from Greek expatriates in Canada, who actively attended the event and posed questions to the speakers at the conclusion.

As the keynote speaker, Dr. G. Patoulis emphasized the undeniable growth of the Health and Wellness Tourism sector globally. He highlighted that Medical Tourism is a field with immense potential and dynamic development both internationally and in Greece, as it merges health services with hospitality. Dr. Patoulis stressed that this sector has the potential to deliver substantial benefits to the economy, society, and the healthcare system.

Dr. Patoulis further commended the pivotal role of ELITOUR in promoting Health and Wellness Tourism and detailed his efforts through the Global Doctors’ Hippocratic Institute to unite, network, and mobilize the global medical community based on the timeless principles of Hippocratic Medicine.

The scientific coordination of the seminar was led by Dr. George Tsoukas, President of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal. Dr. Tsoukas congratulated Dr. Patoulis on his contributions and extended an invitation for him to visit Canada to continue the oath ceremonies for outstanding young physicians using the original Hippocratic Oath, a practice previously conducted in Pavia, Italy, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Prominent presentations were delivered by Dr. Ioannis Hatzistefanou, Maxillofacial Surgeon and member of ELITOUR; Dr. Panagoula Barla, Ophthalmic Surgeon, and Dr. Zoe Vrakopoulou-Vrettakou, General Surgeon. The seminar was moderated by journalist Tzeni Panteli.
