The Greek Health Tourism Forum was held with great success in the heart of Manhattan, New York City. The event was co-organized by the Greek Health Tourism Council – ELITOUR and Tourism Media and Events. It attracted numerous entrepreneurs and companies from the American community, offering opportunities for networking and B2B meetings with physicians and members of ELITOUR’s cluster.
The forum was inaugurated by Dr. George Patoulis, President of the Athens Medical Association, ELITOUR, and the Global Doctors’ Hippocratic Institute. In his opening remarks, Dr. Patoulis praised ELITOUR’s ongoing efforts to open pathways into international markets and stated that the organization’s primary goal is to establish Greece as a model country for Medical Tourism. He emphasized: “Our country can become the Mecca of medicine in the global community. We believe in Greek physicians and the Greek diaspora, and this year’s initiative is one of our most productive efforts to promote Health and Wellness Tourism.”
At the conclusion of the forum, business meetings were held with representatives from the insurance sector, medical facilitators, travel agencies, physicians, and healthcare investors.

The forum featured significant contributions from Mr. Konstantinos Pantos, Vice President of ELITOUR, representing EDDYPPY Mr. Antonios Polydorou, General Secretary of the Global Doctors’ Hippocratic Institute, Mr. Nikolaos Kouvelas and Ms. Lina Evgeni, members of ELITOUR, Professor Nikolaos Vrachnis, specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Mr. Andreas Kisskinis, head of the Tourism Promotion Department of the Region of Central Macedonia, Mr. Nikolaos Prapas, who actively participated in networking discussions.
All speakers commended ELITOUR’s efforts and expressed their willingness to support this collective initiative to promote Health and Wellness Tourism.
