The President of ELITOUR and the Athens Medical Association (AMA), Dr. Georgios Patoulis, participated in the annual 14th Med-Professionals Medical Awards Symposium for Medical Excellence, held at the premises of the Amarysia newspaper.
During the event, the importance of Medical Excellence, continuous scientific advancement, and the commitment of healthcare professionals to the provision of high-quality services to citizens was highlighted. At the same time, particular emphasis was placed on the pivotal role of the healthcare sector in the development of Medical Tourism, a dynamic field that enhances the international outreach of the country and promotes Greece as a global destination for high-quality medical services.
Dr. Georgios Patoulis referred to the enduring need to support healthcare professionals and healthcare institutions, emphasizing that investment in quality, innovation, and scientific excellence constitutes a fundamental prerequisite for a modern and effective healthcare system.
As part of the event, Dr. Patoulis was honored with a distinguished award in recognition of his longstanding contribution to both the medical and political spheres of the country. This distinction represents acknowledgment of his many years of activity and contribution in the fields of healthcare and public affairs, guided by the promotion of public health, social cohesion and solidarity, and the development of Medical Tourism in Greece.

Upon receiving the award, Dr. Patoulis expressed his sincere gratitude to the organizers and to Ms. Hovri for the honor bestowed upon him. He emphasized that this distinction serves as a strong incentive to continue efforts aimed at upgrading healthcare services, strengthening the medical community, and further promoting Greece as a center of medical excellence and innovation.

Among those attending the annual 14th Med-Professionals Medical Awards Symposium were the Minister of Health, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, the Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis, Member of Parliament for the B1 Northern Sector of Athens with New Democracy, Ms. Zetta Rapti, the Scientific Director and Director of the Department of General, Laparoscopic, Oncological, and Robotic Surgery at the Athens Medical Center, Mr. Ntinos Konstantinidis; and Professor of Dermatology and Vice President of ELITOUR, Professor Konstantinos Kouskoukis.
